Transliteration

bhagīrathaḥ sa rājarṣir ninye bhuvana-pāvanīm yatra sva-pitṝṇāṁ dehā bhasmībhūtāḥ sma śerate

Translation

Der heilige König Bhagīratha führte die weltenreinigende Gaṅgā zu dem Ort auf Erden, wo die Leiber seiner Vorfahren, zu Asche verbrannt, lagen.
