Ambarīṣa’s Prayers to Sudarśana and the Deliverance of Durvāsā
durvāsā uvāca aho ananta-dāsānāṁ mahattvaṁ dṛṣṭam adya me kṛtāgaso ’pi yad rājan maṅgalāni samīhase
This verse shows that even a powerful sage like Durvāsā recognizes the extraordinary greatness of Ananta’s servants, whose devotion brings divine protection and moral nobility.
After offending Ambarīṣa and facing danger due to the Lord’s protection of His devotee, Durvāsā admits his mistake and marvels that Ambarīṣa still wishes him well despite the offense.
Avoid criticizing sincere devotees, and respond to harm with integrity and goodwill—because true spiritual strength is shown through humility, forgiveness, and devotion-centered conduct.
