Transliteration

śrī-śuka uvāca ekadā giriśaṁ draṣṭum ṛṣayas tatra suvratāḥ diśo vitimirābhāsāḥ kurvantaḥ samupāgaman

Translation

Śukadeva Gosvāmī antwortete: Einst kamen große Weise, streng in ihren Gelübden, dorthin, um Girīśa, den Herrn Śiva, zu schauen. Durch ihr eigenes Leuchten vertrieben sie die Dunkelheit in allen Himmelsrichtungen.
