Parīkṣit’s Final Instruction
न तत्रात्मा स्वयंज्योतिर्यो व्यक्ताव्यक्तयो: पर: । आकाश इव चाधारो ध्रुवोऽनन्तोपमस्तत: ॥ ८ ॥
na tatrātmā svayaṁ-jyotir yo vyaktāvyaktayoḥ paraḥ ākāśa iva cādhāro dhruvo ’nantopamas tataḥ
Die Seele ist selbstleuchtend und steht jenseits des sichtbaren grobstofflichen und des unsichtbaren feinstofflichen Körpers. Sie bleibt die feste Grundlage des wechselnden körperlichen Daseins, wie der ätherische Himmel der unveränderliche Hintergrund aller Wandlungen ist; daher ist die Seele endlos und ohne materielles Gleichnis.
