The Earth Laughs at World-Conquering Kings; Yuga-Dharma and the Remedy for Kali
This verse says that by hearing, chanting, meditating on, worshiping, or even honoring the Lord, Bhagavān in the heart destroys the inauspicious karma accumulated over tens of thousands of births.
Śukadeva is instructing Parīkṣit on the most effective spiritual remedy for Kali-yuga—Bhakti centered on the Lord—showing that even simple acts like hearing and honoring Bhagavān bring deep purification.
Regularly hear Bhagavatam or authentic Hari-kathā, chant the holy names, and consciously offer respect to the Lord and His devotees—these practices cleanse the heart and reduce long-standing negative tendencies.
