Balarāma Humbles the Kurus and Rescues Sāmba
This verse shows Balarāma deliberately preventing a destructive feud between the Kurus and Vṛṣṇis, teaching that dharmic leaders restrain quarrel and protect social harmony.
Because he did not want a calamity of internecine conflict; as a protector of dharma, he pacified his own side first to prevent escalation.
Before reacting, first calm your own group, reduce inflammatory speech, and prioritize reconciliation—stopping “kali” (needless conflict) early.
