Kṛṣṇa Defeats Bāṇāsura and Receives Śiva’s Prayers
The Śoṇitapura Battle and the Jvara Episode
Because even the formidable fever-power associated with Śiva recognizes Kṛṣṇa (Acyuta) as the ultimate refuge and authority, and therefore submits and withdraws when addressed by Him.
After the Maheśvara-jvara is pacified and departs, Bāṇāsura—still defiant—mounts his chariot and moves forward to continue fighting Lord Kṛṣṇa (Janārdana).
Even powerful obstacles can be resolved through surrender to the Supreme, but ego can keep one in needless conflict—humility and taking shelter of Kṛṣṇa end suffering.
