Kṛṣṇa Visits Indraprastha; Kuntī’s Remembrance; Kālindī and Further Marriages
Bhadrā is the daughter of Śrutakīrti, who is described here as Kṛṣṇa’s paternal aunt; Kṛṣṇa marries Bhadrā as part of His dynastic and dharmic family pastimes.
The verse states she was “given by her brothers,” indicating a customary, family-sanctioned marriage arrangement, honoring Kṛṣṇa as the foremost member of the Yadu line.
It highlights the value of honoring family responsibility and dharma in relationships—making major life commitments with clarity, consent, and proper guidance rather than impulse.
