अहं वैदेहमिच्छामि द्रष्टुं प्रियतमं मम । इत्युक्त्वा मिथिलां राजन् विवेश यदुनन्दन: ॥ २४ ॥

ahaṁ vaideham icchāmi draṣṭuṁ priyatamaṁ mama ity uktvā mithilāṁ rājan viveśa yada-nandanaḥ

„Ich wünsche den König von Videha zu besuchen, der Mir überaus lieb ist.“ So sprach er, o König, und Balarāma, der geliebte Nachkomme der Yadu, betrat Mithilā.
