Kṛṣṇa Arrives at Kuṇḍina and Abducts Rukmiṇī
Rukmiṇī-haraṇa Prelude
This verse shows that a host should receive and honor guests appropriately—considering their seniority, valor, influence, and position—offering suitable comforts and respect.
In the context of the wedding gathering, the host (Rukmī) followed royal and social dharma by formally welcoming the visiting rulers with fitting hospitality.
Practice thoughtful hospitality: show respect to everyone, and offer help or comfort in a way that is appropriate to their situation and needs, without partiality or neglect.
