Kṛṣṇa Leads Kālayavana to Mucukunda; The Yavana Is Burned; Mucukunda’s Prayers and Boon of Bhakti
King Mucukunda, who had been sleeping in a secluded cave due to a boon, is awakened and wonders who has disturbed his long rest.
He had been granted the boon to sleep undisturbed after long service in battle; when someone entered the cave and disturbed him, he spoke in surprise, not yet knowing it was connected to Krishna’s plan to defeat Kālayavana.
Even ordinary moments—like being awakened—can be part of the Lord’s larger arrangement; the verse reminds one to stay humble and attentive to how Krishna’s protection and purpose unfold in one’s life.
