It depicts a gopī whose love intensifies into indignant passion—she frowns, bites her lips, and shoots sidelong glances at Kṛṣṇa, as if her looks could strike Him.
In this section, Kṛṣṇa had disappeared to deepen their longing and devotion; when He returns, their love manifests as affectionate reproach—an intimate mood of divine love, not ordinary anger.
It teaches that strong emotions can be spiritualized when centered on God—channeling even frustration or longing into sincere remembrance, prayer, and deeper commitment to bhakti.
