The Appearance of Vāmanadeva and His Arrival at Bali’s Sacrifice
This verse teaches that a ritual is truly perfected when it is graced by the presence of the Lord (here as Vāmana) or His honored representative—then the sacrifice becomes spiritually complete.
Bali recognized Vāmana as an extraordinary brāhmaṇa guest and felt that the Lord’s arrival sanctified his home, lineage, and yajña—so he expressed gratitude and reverence before offering charity.
Treat visits from saintly people, teachers, and sincere devotees as sacred opportunities—serve respectfully, give generously within your means, and let spiritual association elevate your home and conduct.
