The Future Manus and the Avatāras in Their Manvantaras
This verse states that in a future manvantara, Bali—the son of Virocana—will become Indra, the ruler of heaven, among particular groups of demigods.
Śukadeva is describing upcoming manvantaras and their administrative leaders; Bali is identified as the future Indra, showing how roles in the universe change by divine arrangement over time.
Positions and power are temporary and cyclical; lasting spiritual progress comes from devotion and dharma rather than attachment to status.
