Indra Slays Namuci—The Limits of Power and the Triumph of Divine Strategy
येन मे पूर्वमद्रीणां पक्षच्छेद: प्रजात्यये । कृतो निविशतां भारै: पतत्त्रै: पततां भुवि ॥ ३४ ॥
yena me pūrvam adrīṇāṁ pakṣa-cchedaḥ prajātyaye kṛto niviśatāṁ bhāraiḥ patattraiḥ patatāṁ bhuvi
Indra dachte: „Einst, zur Zeit des Pralaya, schnitt ich mit eben diesem Vajra den geflügelten Bergen die Flügel ab; sie flogen am Himmel umher und stürzten dann, von ihrer Last gedrückt, zur Erde und erschlugen die Menschen.“
