সমস্ত জীব পরমাত্মায় বাস করে, আর সেই সর্বাত্মা সকল জীবের মধ্যেও বাস করেন; তাই তিনি ‘বাসুদেব’ নামে স্মৃত।
Sage Parāśara (teaching Maitreya)
This verse defines Vāsudeva (Vishnu) as both the ground in which all beings abide and the indwelling Self within them, establishing His supreme sovereignty and all-pervasive presence.
Parāśara presents a twofold relation: all beings exist in the Supreme, and the Supreme exists within all beings—linking creation to God as both support and inner ruler.
Vishnu is affirmed as the ultimate reality (Paramātman) who pervades and sustains the universe, a core Vaishnava teaching that supports Vedāntic readings emphasizing God’s supreme, intimate presence.
