তার অভিপ্রায় বুঝে ঊষা আবার সখীকে বলল, দেবীর নির্দেশমতো—“তা লাভের জন্য যে উপায়, সেই ব্যবস্থাই করো।”
Sage Parāśara (narrating the episode; the quoted speech is by Ūṣā)
The verse highlights that outcomes are not merely wished for; they are pursued through a chosen upāya—an intentional, actionable means—showing how Purāṇic narratives connect desire with deliberate effort.
Parāśara narrates to Maitreya, while the verse embeds direct speech by Ūṣā, creating a layered dialogue where the narrator frames character intention and action.
Even in a localized human-like episode, the Vishnu Purana’s broader frame assumes a moral cosmos under Vishnu’s sovereignty, where actions (means) and intentions unfold within an ordered, providential world.
