अलर्कस्य दीर्घराज्यवर्णनम् (Alarka’s Extraordinary Reign)
পরাশর মুনি মৈত্রেয়কে বংশবৃত্তান্ত বলতে বলতে আলর্কের আশ্চর্য রাজত্বের কথা বলেন—তিনি নাকি পৃথিবী ষাট হাজার বছর ও আরও ছয়শো বছর শাসন/ভোগ করেছিলেন, এবং তাঁর সার্বভৌমত্বের তুল্য কোনো যুবক ছিল না। পুরাণে এই দীর্ঘায়ু কর্মফল ও রাজধর্মের ভার নির্দেশ করে; গুরু–শিষ্য পরিসরে শিক্ষা হলো—বিষ্ণু-ধৃত মহাকালে রাজত্ব, কীর্তি ও বংশের মোড় স্মরণীয় শাসনে চিহ্নিত হয়।
