इक्ष्वाकुवंश-श्रवण-फलश्रुतिः

পরাশর ইক্ষ্বাকুবংশের বংশবৃত্তান্তের একটি অংশ সমাপ্ত করে বলেন যে তিনি সেই বংশের প্রধান রাজাদের কথা বর্ণনা করেছেন। তিনি স্পষ্ট ফলশ্রুতি দেন—এই রাজাদের চরিত ও কাহিনি শ্রবণ করলে শ্রোতা পাপমুক্ত হয়। পরাশর–মৈত্রেয় সংলাপে এটি ভক্তিময় সীলমোহর: বংশকথা কেবল তথ্য নয়, ধর্মমুখী পবিত্র শ্রবণ, যা বিষ্ণুর জগত্-শাসনে প্রতিষ্ঠিত।

एते हीक्ष्वाकुभूपालाः प्राधान्येन मयेरिताः एतेषां चरितं शृण्वन् सर्वपापैः प्रमुच्यते

এঁরাই ইক্ষ্বাকুবংশের রাজাগণ, যাঁদের প্রধান মহিমা আমি বর্ণনা করেছি। তাঁদের চরিত শ্রবণ করলে সকল পাপ থেকে মুক্তি লাভ হয়।
