ततः संपूज्य देवेशं पद्मनाभं जगद् गुरुम् विज्ञापयेन्मुनिश्रेष्ठ मन्त्रेणानेन सुव्रत
tataḥ saṃpūjya deveśaṃ padmanābhaṃ jagad gurum vijñāpayenmuniśreṣṭha mantreṇānena suvrata
তারপর দেবেশ, জগত্গুরু পদ্মনাভকে বিধিপূর্বক পূজা করে, হে মুনিশ্রেষ্ঠ, হে সুব্রত, এই মন্ত্র দ্বারা তাঁকে নিবেদন (বিনীত প্রার্থনা) করবে।

Ritual culminates in conscious articulation: the devotee ‘vijñāpayet’—does not demand, but petitions with humility. This models ethical prayer as respectful communication rather than transactional bargaining.
Like many Purāṇic sections, it serves as dharma/vrata instruction appended to narrative layers; it is not a core pañcalakṣaṇa topic but an applied liturgical/ritual prescription.
The sequence ‘saṃpūjya … vijñāpayet’ symbolizes that right action precedes right speech: worship (karma) prepares the mind for mantra (vāk) and intention (bhāva).
