यूनश्च परदारादि दारिद्र्यं च कुटुम्बिनः । पुत्रदुःखस्य नास्त्यन्तो धनी चेन्म्रियते तदा ॥२६॥

IAST Transliteration

yūnaś ca paradārādi dāridryaṃ ca kuṭumbinaḥ | putraduḥkhasya nāsty anto dhanī cen mriyate tadā ||26||

Translation

যুবকের মধ্যে পরস্ত্রী প্রভৃতির প্রতি আসক্তি জাগে; গৃহস্থের দারিদ্র্যও ঘটে। পুত্রজনিত দুঃখের শেষ নেই; আর ধনী হলেও শেষ পর্যন্ত মৃত্যু আসে॥২৬॥

Academic Translation

For the young man there is (the temptation of) another’s wife and the like; for the householder there is poverty as well. There is no end to the sorrow caused by children; and if one is wealthy, then he dies (even so).
