হে ইন্দ্র! তোমার অবস (সহায়) লাভের জন্য কোন মর্ত্য ধৃষ্ট হয়ে তোমার নিকট অগ্রসর হয়? নিশ্চয়ই, হে মঘবন্! শ্রদ্ধার দ্বারা সেই বাজী (বলবান উপাসক) দূরস্থিত দিবি (স্বর্গে) বাজ—পোষণ-পুরস্কার—জয় করতে চায়।

मघोनः स्म वृत्रहत्येषु चोदय ये ददति प्रिया वसु तव प्रणीती हर्यश्व सूरिभिर्विश्वा तरेम दुरिता
হে মঘবন্! বৃত্রহত্যার সংঘর্ষসমূহে আমাদের অবশ্যই উদ্দীপিত কর; যারা প্রিয় বসু (মনোরম ধন) দান করে তাদের অনুগ্রহ কর। হে হর্যশ্ব! তোমার প্রণীতি (পথপ্রদর্শন) দ্বারা আমরা উদার সূরিদের (দাতা-যজমানদের) সঙ্গে সকল দুরিত (বিপদ) অতিক্রম করি।

यावित्था श्लोकमा दिवो ज्योतिर्जनाय चक्रथुः आ न ऊर्जं वहतमश्विना युवम्
যেমন তোমরা দুইজন, স্তবনীয়, দিবো জ্যোতি (স্বর্গীয় আলো) জনের জন্য নির্মাণ করেছ, তেমনি—হে অশ্বিনৌ!—আমাদের জন্য ঊর্জ (পোষণ) ও বল বহন করে আনো।
