भरद्वाजाश्रमगमनम्
Bharata at Bharadvāja’s Hermitage
ततस्तथेत्येवमुदारदर्शनः प्रतीतरूपो भरतोऽब्रवीद्वचः।चकार बुद्धिं च तदा तदाश्रमे निशानिवासाय नराधिपाऽत्मजः।।2.90.24।।
tatas tathety evam udāradarśanaḥ pratītarūpo bharato 'bravīd vacaḥ |
cakāra buddhiṃ ca tadā tadāśrame niśānivāsāya narādhipātmajaḥ ||2.90.24||
তখন উদারদর্শন, প্রসন্নমুখ ভরত ‘তথাস্তु’ বলে সম্মতি জানালেন। এরপর রাজপুত্র সেই আশ্রমেই রাত্রিযাপনের সংকল্প করলেন॥
Vasistha and Bharata also enquired about his health and welfare of his sacred fires, his disciples, animals and birds and trees of the hermitage.
Obedience to wise counsel and measured conduct: accepting guidance from a sage aligns action with dharma rather than impulse.
Bharata agrees to Bharadvāja’s request and decides to lodge in the hermitage for the night.
Bharata’s nobility and restraint—he readily assents to what is fitting and timely.
