There lived the mighty king Guha who was born in the race of nishadas (hunters) and became famous as their lord. He was a friend to Rama who was like his own self.
Dharma as hospitality and honoring the virtuous: Guha fulfills a ruler’s duty by personally welcoming a righteous guest with proper attendants.
Guha learns of Rāma’s arrival and comes with his elders and ministers to greet him formally.
Respectful leadership: Guha shows humility, readiness to serve, and political propriety in receiving Rāma.
