Sumati
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
Sandhi Resolution Notes: सुमतिस्तदा = सुमतिः + तदा (विसर्गलोप); पदाब्जधीः = पद + अब्ज + धीः (समास).
Sumati is the speaker; she begins speaking after attentively hearing the preceding statement (“iti vākyaṃ samākarṇya”).
It portrays devotion through the phrase “rāmacaṃdra-padābja-dhīḥ,” indicating a mind/intellect anchored in Rāma’s lotus-feet—an emblem of focused, reverential bhakti.
It presents Rāma as an ideal of character and dharma; praising and contemplating such a model encourages the listener to cultivate virtues and align conduct with dharmic ideals.
