*ययातिरुवाच ऋतुं यो याच्यमानाया न ददाति पुमान्वृतः भ्रूणहेत्युच्यते ब्रह्मन् स चेह ब्रह्मवादिभिः //

যযাতি বললেন—হে ব্রাহ্মণ, যে পুরুষ সক্ষম ও কর্তব্যবদ্ধ হয়েও ঋতুকালে প্রার্থনা করা স্ত্রীর কাছে গমন করে না, তাকে ‘ভ্রূণহন্তা’ বলা হয়—এ কথা বেদব্যাখ্যাকারীরা বলেন।
