इति श्रीमहाभारते विराटपर्वणि गोहरणपर्वणि दक्षिणगोग्रहे विराटजयघोषे चतुस्त्रिंशो 5ध्याय:

iti śrīmahābhārate virāṭaparvaṇi goharaṇaparvaṇi dakṣiṇagogrāhe virāṭajayaghoṣe catuḥstriṃśo 'dhyāyaḥ

এইভাবে শ্রীমহাভারতের বিরাটপর্বের গোহরণপর্বে ‘দক্ষিণ দিকের গো-গ্রহণ’ এবং ‘বিরাটের বিজয়ঘোষ’ প্রসঙ্গে চৌত্রিশতম অধ্যায় সমাপ্ত হল।
