Virāṭa-parva Adhyāya 25: Kaurava Deliberation and the Search Directive (अन्वेषण-आदेशः)
वर्त्मन्यन्वेष्यमाणा वै रथिनां रथिसत्तम । नहि विद्यो गतिं तेषां वासं हि नरसत्तम,रथियोंमें श्रेष्ठ नरोत्तम! हमने रथियोंके मार्गपपर भी उनका अन्वेषण किया है, किंतु वे कहाँ गये और कहाँ रहते हैं? इसका पता हमें नहीं लगा
vartmany anveṣyamāṇā vai rathināṁ rathisattama | na hi vidyo gatiṁ teṣāṁ vāsaṁ hi narasattama ||
বৈশম্পায়ন বললেন—“হে রথিসত্তম, হে নরসত্তম! আমরা রথীদের চলার পথেও তাদের অনুসন্ধান করেছি; কিন্তু তারা কোথায় গিয়েছে এবং কোথায় বাস করছে—তা জানতে পারিনি।”
