Draupadī’s Lament and Indictment of Misfortune
भीमसेनमुप श्लिष्यद्धस्तिनीव महागजम् | वीणेव मधुरालापा गान्धारं साधु मूर्छती । अभ्यभाषत पाञज्चाली भीमसेनमनिन्दिता,जैसे हथिनी महान् गजराजका आलिंगन करती है, उसी प्रकार निर्दोष पाज्चालराजकुमारी भीमसेनसे सटकर गान्धार स्वरमें मधुर ध्वनि फैलाती हुई वीणाकी भाँति मीठे वचनोंमें बोली---
bhīmasenam upa śliṣyad hastinīva mahāgajam | vīṇeva madhurālāpā gāndhāraṃ sādhu mūrcchatī || abhyabhāṣata pāñcālī bhīmasenam aninditā |
বৈশম্পায়ন বললেন—যেমন এক হস্তিনী মহাগজকে আলিঙ্গন করে, তেমনই নির্দোষ পাঞ্চালী ভীমসেনকে জড়িয়ে ধরে গন্ধার স্বরে সুর মিলিয়ে, বীণার মধুর ধ্বনির মতো কোমল বাক্যে ভীমসেনকে সম্বোধন করল।
