प्रतिघातेन सान्त्वस्य दारुणं सम्प्रवर्तते । तच्छुनामिव सम्पाते पण्डितैरुपलक्षितम्
pratighātena sāntvasya dāruṇaṁ sampravartate | tacchunām iva sampāte paṇḍitair upalakṣitam ||
যুধিষ্ঠির বললেন— যখন সান্ত্বনার প্রচেষ্টা প্রতিহত হয়, তখন ভয়ংকর যুদ্ধ আপনিই শুরু হয়ে যায়। পণ্ডিতেরা একে কুকুরদের হঠাৎ সংঘর্ষের মতো বলে চিহ্নিত করেছেন।
