Chapter 61: Karṇa’s martial assurances and Bhīṣma’s strategic rebuttal in the Kuru assembly

यदैव रामे भगवत्यनिन्दये ब्रह्म ब्रुवाण: कृतवांस्तदस्त्रम्‌ । तदैव धर्मश्न तपश्च नष्ट वैकर्तनस्यथाधमपूरुषस्य

yadaiva rāme bhagavaty anindye brahma bruvāṇaḥ kṛtavāṁs tad astram | tadaiva dharmaś ca tapaś ca naṣṭaḥ vaikartanasya atha adhamapuruṣasya ||

বৈশম্পায়ন বললেন—যে মুহূর্তে কর্ণ অনিন্দ্য ভগবান রাম (পরশুরাম)-এর কাছে নিজেকে ব্রাহ্মণ বলে প্রতারণা করে ব্রহ্মাস্ত্রের বিদ্যা লাভ করল, সেই মুহূর্তেই সেই অধম বৈকর্তনের ধর্ম ও তপস্যা বিনষ্ট হয়ে গেল।
