महाभये वीतभय: कृतास्त्र: समागमे शत्रुबलावमर्दी । सकृद् रथेनाप्रतिमान् रथौघान् पदातिसंघान् गदयाभिनिध्नन्
sañjaya uvāca |
mahābhaye vītabhayaḥ kṛtāstraḥ samāgame śatrubalāvamardī |
sakṛd rathenāpratimān rathaughān padātisaṅghān gadayābhinighnan ||
সঞ্জয় বললেন—মহাভয়ের মধ্যেও যে নির্ভয়, অস্ত্রশাস্ত্রে সম্পূর্ণ প্রশিক্ষিত, আর সমরে শত্রুবলকে পদদলিত করে—সেই ভীমসেন একটিমাত্র রথে আরূঢ় হয়ে গদার আঘাতে অগণিত রথসমূহ ও পদাতিকদলকে চূর্ণ করতে থাকবে; তখন যুদ্ধের মাঝখানেই ধৃতরাষ্ট্রপুত্র অন্তরে অন্তরে এই যুদ্ধ উসকে দেওয়ার জন্য অনুতাপে দগ্ধ হবে।
