Sañjaya’s Envoy-Speech on Peace
कामार्थलाभेन तथैव भूयो न तृप्यते सर्पिषेवाग्निरिद्ध: । विषयोंका चिन्तन अपने शरीरको पीड़ा देता है। जो विषय-चिन्तनसे सर्वथा मुक्त है
kāmārthalābhena tathaiva bhūyo na tṛpyate sarpiṣevāgniriddhaḥ |
সঞ্জয় বললেন—কাম্য বস্তু ও ধন লাভ করেও মানুষ তৃপ্ত হয় না; ঘৃত ঢাললে যেমন জ্বলন্ত অগ্নি আরও প্রজ্বলিত হয়, তেমনি বিষয়ভোগ ও সম্পদলাভে তৃষ্ণা আরও বেড়ে ওঠে, শান্ত হয় না।
