Sañjaya’s Envoy-Speech on Peace
sañjaya uvāca | indro 'py etan notsahet tāta hartum aiśvaryaṃ no jīvati bhīmasene | dhanañjaye nakule caiva sūta tathā vīre sahadeve sahiṣṇau ||
Legitimate power and security are portrayed as resting on steadfast, capable protectors and their endurance; prosperity is not merely luck but is defended by strength, unity, and disciplined resilience.
Sañjaya reports a confident assertion that as long as the Pāṇḍava brothers—especially Bhīma, Arjuna, Nakula, and the patient Sahadeva—remain alive, no one, not even Indra, can strip them of their royal prosperity.
