Amba–Rama–Bhishma Dialogue on Vow and Refuge
काश्ये न काम गृह्नामि शस्त्र वै वरवर्णिनि । ऋते ब्रह्मविदां हेतो: किमनयत् करवाणि ते
kāśye na kāma gṛhṇāmi śastraṃ vai varavarṇini | ṛte brahmavidāṃ hetoḥ kim anyat karavāṇi te ||
হে শুভবর্ণা কাশীরাজকন্যে, আমি কেবল ব্যক্তিগত ইচ্ছায় অস্ত্র ধারণ করি না। ব্রহ্মবিদ্ বৈদিক ঋষিদের উদ্দেশ্য ও রক্ষার সঙ্গে যুক্ত কারণ ব্যতীত আমি অস্ত্র তুলে নিই না। অতএব, আমার প্রতিজ্ঞা রক্ষা করে আমি তোমার আর কী সেবা করতে পারি?
