मोहानुवर्ती सतत पापो द्वेष्टि च पाण्डवान् | “परंतु यह एकमात्र मिथ्यादर्शी कर्ण मोहवश सदा दुर्बुद्धि दुर्योधनका ही अनुसरण करनेवाला है। इसीलिये यह पापात्मा सर्वदा पाण्डवोंसे द्वेष ही रखता है
mohānuvartī satataṁ pāpo dveṣṭi ca pāṇḍavān |
বৈশম্পায়ন বললেন—মোহের বশবর্তী সেই পাপাত্মা কর্ণ সর্বদা দুর্বুদ্ধি দুর্যোধনেরই অনুসরণ করে; তাই সে পাণ্ডবদের প্রতি চিরকাল দ্বেষ পোষণ করে।
