Udyoga Parva Adhyaya 133 — A Mother’s Counsel to Saṃjaya
अस्मदीयैश्व शोचद्धिर्नदद्धिश्न परैर्वृतम् अपि त्वां नानुपश्येयं दीनादू दीनमिव स्थितम्
asmadīyaiś ca śocadbhir nadadbhis tu parair vṛtam | api tvāṃ nānupaśyeyaṃ dīnā dū dīnam iva sthitam ||
আমি তোমাকে দীন থেকেও দীন, করুণ অবস্থায় পড়ে থাকতে—একদিকে শোকে নিমগ্ন আমাদের লোকজন, আর অন্যদিকে গর্জন-চিৎকার করা শত্রুসেনায় পরিবেষ্টিত—দেখতে চাই না।
