Udyoga Parva Adhyaya 133 — A Mother’s Counsel to Saṃjaya
अपारे भव न: पारमप्लवे भव न: प्लवः । कुरुष्व स्थानमस्थाने मृतान् संजीवयस्व न:
apāre bhava naḥ pāram aplave bhava naḥ plavaḥ | kuruṣva sthānam asthāne mṛtān saṃjīvayasva naḥ | ekaśatrūvadhenaiva śūro gacchati viśrutim |
যখন আমরা তীরহীন বিস্তারে পড়েছি, তুমি আমাদের পার হও; যখন নৌকা নেই, তুমি আমাদের নৌকা হও। যেখানে কোনো ভিত্তি নেই, সেখানে আমাদের জন্য ভিত্তি গড়ে দাও; আর পতিত আমাদের মৃতের মতো জাগিয়ে জীবন দাও। কারণ এক শত্রুকে বধ করেও বীর পুরুষ সর্বত্র খ্যাতি লাভ করে।
