लोकेश्वर प्रभुत्वं हि महदेतद् दुरात्मभि: । राज्यं नामेप्सितं स्थानं न शक््यमभिरक्षितुम्
Vaishampāyana uvāca |
Lokeśvara prabhutvaṃ hi mahad etad durātmabhiḥ |
Rājyaṃ nāmepsitaṃ sthānaṃ na śakyam abhirakṣitum ||
বৈশম্পায়ন বললেন—হে জনেশ্বর! লোকের উপর অধিপত্য এক মহৎ ভার। ‘রাজ্য’ নামে এই আকাঙ্ক্ষিত পদ দুষিত অন্তঃকরণধারীদের দ্বারা রক্ষিত হতে পারে না।
