विषेण सर्पबन्धैशक्ष॒ यतिता: पाण्डवास्त्वया । सर्वोपायैर्विनाशाय न समृद्ध च तत् तव
vaiśampāyana uvāca | viṣeṇa sarpabandhaiś ca yatitāḥ pāṇḍavās tvayā | sarvopāyair vināśāya na samṛddhaṃ ca tat tava ||
বৈশম্পায়ন বললেন— বিষ দিয়ে, সাপের কৌশলে দংশন করিয়ে, বেঁধে জলে নিক্ষেপ করে—সব উপায়ে তুমি পাণ্ডবদের বিনাশ করতে চেয়েছিলে; তবু তোমার সেই প্রচেষ্টা সফল হয়নি।
