Divodāsa–Mādhavī Saṃvāda: Pratardana-janma and Kanyā-niryātana (दिवोदास–माधवी संवादः / प्रतर्दन-जननम् / कन्या-निर्यातनम्)
त्वय्येव तावत् तिष्ठन्तु हया इत्युक्तवान् द्विज: । प्रययौ कन्यया सार्ध दिवोदासं प्रजेश्वरम्
tvayy eva tāvat tiṣṭhantu hayā ity uktavān dvijaḥ | prayayau kanyayā sārdhaṁ divodāsaṁ prajeśvaram |
নারদ বললেন—ব্রাহ্মণ বললেন, “এ অশ্বগুলি আপাতত তোমার কাছেই থাক।” এই কথা বলে তিনি কন্যাসহ প্রজাদের অধীশ্বর রাজা দিবোদাসের নিকট প্রস্থান করলেন।
नारद उवाच
The verse highlights ethical restraint and proper custodianship: valuable property (the horses) should be held in trust until the rightful occasion, reflecting dharma in transactions and royal–brahmin relations.
A brāhmaṇa tells the king to keep the horses with him for now, then departs with the maiden to approach King Divodāsa, continuing the quest/arrangement involving the horses and the princess.
