कर्मणा क्षत्रियाश्रैते निर्धणा भोगिभोजिन: । ज्ञातिसंक्षयकर्तत्वाद ब्राह्मुण्यं न लभन्ति वै

Transliteration

karmaṇā kṣatriyāśraite nirdhaṇā bhogibhojinaḥ | jñātisaṃkṣayakartṛtvād brāhmaṇyaṃ na labhanti vai ||

Translation

নারদ বললেন—ব্রাহ্মণকুলে জন্ম নিয়েও কর্মে তারা ক্ষত্রিয়-স্বভাব গ্রহণ করেছে। তারা নির্দয় এবং সাপই তাদের আহার। আপন জ্ঞাতি-বন্ধুদের বিনাশ ঘটানোর কারণে তারা প্রকৃত ব্রাহ্মণ্য লাভ করে না।
