अतः: पर प्रवक्ष्यामि यानि देयानि भारते । वाच्यमाने तु विप्रेभ्यो राजन् पर्वणि पर्वणि
ataḥ paraṁ pravakṣyāmi yāni deyāni bhārate | vācyamāne tu viprebhyo rājan parvaṇi parvaṇi ||
বৈশম্পায়ন বললেন—“এবার আমি বলব, ‘ভারত’ (মহাভারত)-এ কোন কোন দান দেওয়া উচিত। রাজন, ব্রাহ্মণদের উদ্দেশে যখন পাঠ চলতে থাকে, তখন প্রত্যেক পর্বে যথোচিত দান নিবেদন করা কর্তব্য।”
