अविलम्बमनायस्तमद्रुतं धीरमूर्जितम् । असंसक्ताक्षरपदं स्वरभावसमन्वितम्
avilambam anāyastam adrutaṃ dhīram ūrjitam | asaṃsaktākṣarapadaṃ svarabhāvasamanvitam ||
কথাপাঠ না অতিরিক্ত থেমে-থেমে হবে, না অতিশয় তাড়াহুড়ো করে। তা হবে স্বচ্ছন্দ, স্থির ও বলিষ্ঠ গতিতে; অক্ষর ও পদ যেন জড়িয়ে না যায়, উচ্চারণ স্পষ্ট হয়, এবং স্বর ও ভাব একসঙ্গে মেলে— তবেই অর্থ মধুরভাবে প্রকাশ পায়।
