तेषां श्राद्धानि देयानि श्रुत्वा भारत भारतम् । ब्राह्मणेभ्यो यथाशक्त्या भक्त्या च भरतर्षभ
teṣāṃ śrāddhāni deyāni śrutvā bhārata bhāratam | brāhmaṇebhyo yathāśaktyā bhaktyā ca bharatarṣabha ||
বৈশম্পায়ন বললেন—হে ভরতবংশীয়! এই ভারতকথা শ্রবণ করে তাঁদের উদ্দেশে শ্রাদ্ধকর্ম করা উচিত; আর হে ভরতশ্রেষ্ঠ, সামর্থ্য অনুসারে ব্রাহ্মণদের ভক্তিসহ দান দিতে হবে।
