Chapter 81: Trust, Allies, and the Qualifications of the King’s Artha-Secretary (अर्थसचिव)
चतुर्णा मध्यमौ श्रेष्टी नित्यं शड्क्यौ तथापरौ । सर्वे नित्यं शड्कितव्या: प्रत्यक्ष कार्यमात्मन:
caturṇā madhyamau śreṣṭī nityaṁ śaṅkyau tathāparau | sarve nityaṁ śaṅkitavyāḥ pratyakṣa-kāryam ātmanaḥ ||
ভীষ্ম বললেন—চার প্রকার মিত্রের মধ্যে ‘মধ্য’ দুই প্রকার শ্রেষ্ঠ—যারা স্বেচ্ছায় অনুরক্ত এবং যারা স্বভাবতই স্নেহশীল। কিন্তু বাকি দুই প্রকারকে সর্বদা সন্দেহের চোখে দেখা উচিত। আসলে নিজের প্রত্যক্ষ কার্যকে সামনে রেখে, সব ধরনের মিত্রের প্রতিই সদা সতর্ক থাকা কর্তব্য।
