अम्बरीषस्य मान्धातु: पृथिवी सा त्वयि स्थिता । सत्वां द्रव्यमयो यज्ञ: सम्प्राप्त: सर्वदक्षिण:,पहले यह पृथ्वी बारी-बारीसे राजा दिलीप, नृग, नहुष, अम्बरीष और मान्धाताके अधिकारमें रही है, वही इस समय आपके अधीन हो गयी है। अत: आपके समक्ष सर्वस्वकी दक्षिणा देकर द्रव्यमय यज्ञके अनुष्ठान करनेका अवसर प्राप्त हुआ है

Transliteration

ambarīṣasya māndhātuḥ pṛthivī sā tvayi sthitā | sa tvāṁ dravyamayo yajñaḥ samprāptaḥ sarvadakṣiṇaḥ ||

Translation

অর্জুন বললেন— যে পৃথিবী একদা অম্বরীষ ও মান্ধাতার অধীনে ছিল, সেই পৃথিবীই এখন আপনার অধীন। অতএব আপনার কাছে এমন এক দ্ৰব্যময় যজ্ঞের সুযোগ এসেছে, যা সর্বপ্রকার দক্ষিণায় সমৃদ্ধ—যেখানে সমগ্র ধন দানরূপে অর্পিত হয়।
