माता तु तस्या: कौन्तेय दुहित्रे स्वं चरुं ददौ । तस्याक्षरुमथाज्ञानादात्मसंस्थं चकार ह,कुन्तीकुमार! सत्यवतीकी माताने अज्ञानवश अपना चरु तो पुत्रीको दे दिया और उसका चरु लेकर भोजनद्वारा अपनेमें स्थित कर लिया
mātā tu tasyāḥ kaunteya duhitrē svaṃ caruṃ dadau | tasyākṣaruṃ athājñānād ātmasaṃsthaṃ cakāra ha ||
হে কৌন্তেয়, সেই কন্যার মা অজ্ঞানবশত নিজের চরু কন্যাকে দিয়ে দিলেন; আর কন্যার চরু নিয়ে ভক্ষণ করে তা নিজের দেহে স্থাপন করলেন।
