Educational Q&A

The verse underscores the return to proper order after duties of counsel and participation are fulfilled: individuals resume their rightful places and responsibilities, reflecting dharma as stability, propriety, and measured conduct rather than continued agitation.

After the relevant discussion/events in this section of Śānti Parva, key figures—Yuyutsu, Vidura, Sañjaya, Sudharmā, and the sage Dhaumya—take leave and go back to their respective homes, signaling closure of the immediate gathering.
