Service to Dhṛtarāṣṭra and Allocation of State Duties
द्विजानां देवकार्येषु का्येष्वन्येषु चैव ह । धौम्यं पुरोधसां श्रेष्ठ नित्यमेव समादिशत्,ब्राह्मणों और देवताओंसे सम्बन्ध रखनेवाले कार्योंपर तथा अन्यान्य ब्राह्मणोचित कर्तव्योंपर सदाके लिये पुरोहितोंमें श्रेष्ठ धौम्यजीकी नियुक्ति की गयी
Vaiśampāyana uvāca |
Dvijānāṃ devakāryeṣu kāryeṣv anyeṣu caiva ha |
Dhaumyaṃ purodhasāṃ śreṣṭhaṃ nityam eva samādiśat ||
ব্রাহ্মণদের দেবকার্য এবং অন্যান্য ব্রাহ্মণোচিত কর্তব্যের জন্য পুরোহিতদের মধ্যে শ্রেষ্ঠ ধৌম্যকে তিনি সর্বদা অধিষ্ঠাতা করে নিযুক্ত করলেন।
